The arrival of autumn might usher in six months of shortening days and grey skies, but here at New & Lingwood, the onset of fall signals the most exciting time of the year when it comes to getting dressed. Earthy tweeds, mottled flannels and soft moleskin take centre stage in the well-dressed individual’s wardrobe, as is deftly demonstrated in our AW19 look book.

This season, our separates are understated, versatile and come in a range of rich autumnal colours. From our Sutton single-breasted suit in dark olive green flannel from historic Huddersfield-based mill Marling & Evans, to our unstructured Bicton tweed jacket, in a burnt orange, brown and teal houndstooth cut in authentic Shetland tweed.

Confident checks are key to the collection this season, and our collection of jackets makes use of tonal colour palettes; from the beige and brown tones in our pleated Tranby tartan trousers, to the soft sage green and warm mustard colours in our Bretby tweed hacking jacket, finished with cognac leather football buttons, and our Longford windowpane check jacket, which is available with a matching waistcoat and trousers.

Corduroy is also very much in focus this autumn. In addition to our seasonal selection of corduroy trousers, we’re offering our safari suit in plush Italian corduroy in a rich verdant. Alongside this, and in the same chunky corduroy, is our Rokeby mid-blue jacket is available in an unstructured single-breasted or double-breasted model with a sleek six button front, with flat-fronted trousers to match.
